Looking for a place where you can reconnect with yourself and nature and meet other inspiring people? Welcome to our Eco-living in la Zarzuela, the first ecological coliving on the Costa de la Luz! 

We believe that living in community with others and in harmony with nature is the key to a more fulfilled and sustainable life. If you think so too, we look forward to having you join our little ecoliving family! Wake up to the sound of birds, practice yoga or meditation, be creative and productive, or just chill in a hammock between the palm trees. Make new friends, share your favorite meal, and explore this magical area of southern Spain. 

With a total of 5 rooms, we are a small coliving, giving you the chance to connect more deeply with everyone staying. All of the rooms are private and equipped with either a big bed or 2 small beds. They can be booked as a single room or, if you are 2 people wanting to share, as a double room. All rooms have their own entrance from the garden and an ensuite bathroom. There are various terraces to sit on, a covered backyard for outside dining, a BBQ, a yoga platform (mats available), a vegetable garden, and an infinite number of plants, flowers, and trees. Last but not least, there is Milo, a super cute border collie, that is waiting to be cuddled by you.

We are located in a small, rural village called La Zarzuela, on the beautiful Costa de la Luz. While we are away from all the hustle and bustle, we are only a 5-minute drive from the most pristine beaches Spain has to offer. Nestled between 3 National parks and at the most southern point of Europe, there are plenty of different sports and activities to enjoy in the area (all within a 20–30 minute drive):

- daytrips to Morocco
- exploring the white villages of Andalusia


IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

Please note that there is no public transportation in our area. In order to get here and, more importantly, to move around during your stay, allowing you to explore the beauty of this area, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND you arrive by car. If you are flying in, we can help you with a rental car contact that does deals for as little as € 250/month.

If you are happy to completely disconnect from everything, focus on your work, and spend your free time chilling in the garden, you will be fine without a car too. Just be aware that it will take you 2 buses and a taxi to get here, and then your only chance to move around during your stay will be hitchhiking or some very long walks (1 hour to get to the beach by foot walking alongside a main road).

The closest airports are: Gibraltar (1h), Jerez de la Frontera (1,5h), Sevilla (2h), and Malaga (2.5h).

Set in the idyllic countryside town of La Zarzuela, in the district of Tarifa, the property is an oasis of peace and quiet while being at the doorstep of the best, this part of Spain has to offer: sandy beaches, a turquoise sea, views of Africa, 3 natural parks; Andalusian White Villages; birds and whales watching; wind and water sports and finally mountain biking and horse riding. La Zarzuela counts about 250 people and significantly more animals including horses, donkeys, cows, chickens, cats, and dogs. There is a little grocery store and 3 restaurants in the village. The closest town and beach are just 4 km away. The distances by car are:

• Tarifa, Caños de Meca, el Palmar (25-30 min)

  • There is no office as such set aside for working only. However, there are plenty of indoor and outdoor areas spread over the Finca from which you can work. Inside the main house is where you will find the fastest internet speed (5G/fiber line) and it is nice and cool in summer.
  • Yes! Since all our rooms are private and have an independent entrance you will have all the privacy you need.
  • Booking
  • Please let us know the dates you want to book, the number of people that will be staying, and what it is you are looking for in the coliving experience or expecting to find.
  • Yes. Please let us know your arrival time so we can arrange for you to check-in. Rooms will be available at 4 pm, but if you arrive earlier you can already drop off your luggage and use all facilities. For late check-ins, we will send you instructions and deposit the key for you.
  • You can extend your stay depending on your availability at the moment. Shortening your stay is possible, charges may apply according to the cancellation policy.
  • We only accept a maximum stay of 3 months at a time. If you would like to stay longer you may extend your booking at the end of your stay according to availability.

    Rather than living by the clock and having a strict set of rules, we encourage everyone to be considerate of their fellow community members throughout their stay.

  • No smoking/vaping inside is allowed. When you are sharing an outdoor space with others, be aware that it might bother others and act mindfully.
  • No. We have a very friendly, cuddly, and highly sensitive support dog at the property. Milo is a young border collie mix who loves to be around people. We do not want to put him through the stress of having another dog invade his territory or deal with the chaos that two dogs will involuntarily cause.
  • So far, we have not had any experience with kids, but we are open to the idea. Please check beforehand to see if we can accommodate the needs of your little one.
  • We are an eco-living project with a strong focus on sustainability and promoting an overall healthy lifestyle. We do not believe in imposing rules on people, and we believe that what you consume is entirely up to you. However, we do ask you to be mindful of your environment and fellow community members, and we do not encourage drinking.
