A few classic Eighties teen movies (mostly from John Hughes) are celebrating their 40th birthdays around now, and — unlike Samantha’s family in Sixteen Candles — Funko didn’t forget. The collectible toymaker is releasing a line of POP! figurines of characters from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink. All of the new Eighties Funko POP! figurines are available to preorder on Amazon.
The Funko John Hughes release will include several figurines from each of the Eighties classics. Characters from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off include Bueller (Matthew Broderick), his best friend Cameron Frye (Alan Ruck), and his girlfriend Sloane Peterson (Mia Sara).
The Breakfast Club collection includes all five of the main characters: Andrew Clark (Emilio Estevez), Brian Johnson (Anthony Michael Hall), John Bender (Judd Nelson), Claire Standish (Molly Ringwald), and Allison Reynolds (Ally Sheedy).
To honor Sixteen Candles’ birthday, Funko is dropping Samantha Baker (Molly Ringwald) in her dress and Jake Ryan (Michael Schoeffling).
The Pretty in Pink collection is just two characters, including Andie Walsh (yet another Ringwald character) and Duckie Dale (Jon Cryer).
Preorder the new Eighties-inspired Funko POP! figurines on Amazon now before they sell out.
